Pmr446antennna

Hello to all the hubbers whom sent me emails in the last couple of weeks asking for info on an antenna for the 446 mhz band. This band has come quite popular with users from ireland and the UK with reports of clubs etc etc starting up.

So I have put together a short video on HOW TO BUILD AN ANTENNA FOR THE 446MHZ BAND which is detailed below and works very well iff you have the patients to assemble all the vital components that make up the 11db 446 yagi.

All the elements used in this antenna are actually aluminium welding rods purchased from my local hardware store at €1.00 each you will need a total of 10 to complete the antenna

After assembling the antenna I tested the antenna with my swr mtr and a reading of 1.6 was acheived but after a little trimming on both elements it reseaded to 1.3
